Moose Mountain Jazz Band Bob Modr Cornet and Vocals Bob Modr joins us from Harpswell Maine, and holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Music from the New England Conservatory of Music.  Bob, now retired, has had a full career as a Brass Specialist, and a Music Educator.  He Began with the 1st Air Force Band in Long Island.  In Addition to performing with small groups, and symphony work, Bob spent the last 15 years, as a music educator for the Depart of Defense.  Most of his time was spent overseas, living in England, and later in Italy.  Bob did reside in the states for the summer, and it was at this time, that he was able to pursue his passion for Dixieland Jazz.  Bob spent many years as the principal Cornet player with the “Royal River Philharmonic Jazz Band”, and can be heard on several of their recordings. Along with The Moose Mt. Jazz Band, he currently performs with the State St. Traditional Jazz Band, in Portland Maine.
